but even with the shows cannon, Luna would be an awful ruler, i had to brainstorm when writing my own fic and I understood that even in the pony world, she would be the worst cannidate for sole rulership based only on the fact that she thinks that being a princess is a game.
In the first episode, she goes and turns into nightmare moon on the basis that the ponies did not enjoy her night enough, a real ruler would not care and mandate the best actions be done for their people and then ignore the inevitable bitching that people would do unless it was so much that wild protests occoured.
and just to satisfy everyone, the night is for sleeping, dont deny you like it.
(I worked a third shift job in the summer and had to quit because i could not sleep durring the day after working all night.)
I actually was a luna fan until i sat down an thought about how awful she would be to serve under.
Then again i am one of the "Deal with it" types of people.
Most just favor Luna because she looks adorable(what nobody disputed) but they just ignore everything else. So "by default" as the best liked that makes her the best person to rule also.
I like both, but developed a preference for Celestia when i saw all the unjust and illogical accusations against her.

I must agree, i think woona and Luna can be cute and stuff, especially with the season 1 hairstyle. I like to think, and I wrote a fiction about it, that Luna has the blue hair and use conditioner and shit to make it all stary, being that she is't "full grown". but i straight up HATE Nightmare Moon and the fanfiction around Luna now. It ruined her.
1. this is personal, and i know its fans are going to burn down my house, but I HATE, and I mean it, HATE Nyx from Past Sins, a little overpowerded weakling who can't stop whining throughout the entire story.
Next, and this is the most recent one, i cant stand reading anything involing Lunar Guards. they had 10 seconds of screen time, and now they are regarded as the ultimate badasses who have the personality (and as much originality)as the characters from Call of Duty.
Anyway, thats all for my daily rant. when I finish my Story that i am writing and explains my view of Equestrain society, ill shoot a link to you if you like. (Don't expect it anytime soon, though)

For the "bat ponies" i still think they are just normal guards with a disguise for NMN. We didnt see any after that.
The sole reason why i do that is because i have seriously had it past my head with...
1. aparently they are the special forces, which is retarded, why would a person's body guards be navy seals? thats just unnessecary.
2. most explanations are that they were enchanted by luna, and the bat wings makes them freaking superpowered. That is just weak storytelling, and two i'd like to have them meet Ozzy Ozborne.
and last but not least, I am SICK and TIRED of reading this sentance!
